1/8 Tacon de Marlin (off Centro, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico).
Tacons? After two days of stomach imbalance, I was recovering but ready to eat. This place pretty much only makes one thing. Short burritos that are wrapped and probably pan-browned. I had to get the marlin tacon because marlin is awesome and available only in these regions.
pickled vegetables and potato salad were served while we waited for our food
The most Mexican flavored chocolate that I could find, without getting into Tequila, is the Chili Lime. It’s very subtle and obviously popular by the few left in display.
We then spent a long time watching the sun set over the mountains before walking around to find dinner.
Takos Panchos (Old Town, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico)
Takos, yo! We had such a good time eating here last time that we voted a second visit for this place. Due to the joint’s popularity, there were no seats for the chinos but outside on the sidewalk, so they put two tables together for us. I had 2 Horchatas (rice water drink), a cheese and chili strips quesadilla, and an al pastor taco, all for $5! Yoinked more onions off somebody…probably CJ’s.
mmmm al pastor

Cool blog, I spend a lot of time in Puerto Vallarta and live there part time. I always do a Google search for all the blogs about Puerto Vallarta so I can keep up with what is going on when I am not there. Takos Panchos is the best, Have a great day. pvkid
