5/21 The Happy Inka (Wednesday Farmers Market, Downtown Los Angeles, CA)
Peruvian. Down the street in one of the many food venders part of the Farmers Market was this spot that caught my eye. Simple box lunches. I got the combo #1 Saltado beef with chaufa instead of plain rice. (combo #2) on the side. Chaufa is fried rice and is part of combo#2. Really, this box is Chinese stir-fry with fried rice, Peruvian-style. You know that a whole bunch of Chinese and Koreans are several generations deep in Latin America, right? haha. To wash it all down, I got a can of Inca Kola, the Golden Cola. Where else would I get it, right?
5/20 City Fare catering brought a bunch of sandwiches for the meeting. I got half a chicken salad sandwich on foccacia, half a sandwich of turkey with tomato, lettuce, cheddar, on croissant, a can of Diet Dr. Pepper, and a chocolate chip cookie.
Canter’s Delicatessen (West Hollywood, Mid-City West, Los Angeles, CA)
Deli / Music Venue. Didn’t eat or drink here but came here to check out THE KOOKS’ secret show at Canter’s LA. Check out these videos. They are awesome. [ click here ]

made some pickled cucumbers with rice vinegar and papaya seed dressing
I browned some franks and dressed up my…
…sausage salad
Nacho and I had a brilliant idea of bacon-wrapped pineapple spears but unfortunately, the uneven shrinking of bacon made this a tasty treat that did not look nice.
